Miley Cyrus Thought She ‘Would Die’ Without a Partner to ‘kiss her every night’

Miley Cyrus gave an emotional speech on stage at the BottleRock event, informing fans that she has been rebuilding her life following a tragic house fire in 2018.

The Midnight Sky singer, who divorced ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in August 2019 after only eight months of marriage and briefly dated Kaitlyn Carter and Cody Simpson, opened up to fans before performing her cover of Janis Joplin’s Maybe at the BottleRock Festival in Napa, California, over the weekend.

“This song, to me, relates to the changes that I’ve been experiencing in my life, and the things that I’ve lost have come back in what I never knew I wanted or needed to gain,” Miley explained.

“Even though sometimes it feels like we have to start from nothing, like with the house fire, and completely rebuild. That fire was almost three years ago and I’m just feeling like I’m starting to find my stability now. And so I want everyone to be patient – nothing worth anything happens overnight, it takes a lot of f–king effort and resilience,” she added, going on to say to hold onto those helping you to “rebuild a stable foundation.”

Following that, the ‘Prisoner’ singer discussed her love life and how music has been her ‘glue’ since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Miley continued, “I had a theory I would die if I didn’t have a partner. If I didn’t have someone to kiss me every single night. But then this was my purpose, but this was taken from me during COVID, so then I found a new purpose and that’s music [which] is the glue over the last two years and it was what was keeping us strong at the time.”

She continued, “I’m just so fortunate to call myself a musician, and I never want that to be removed from my life because it’s what fuels me. I want to thank you guys for giving me this platform to do what I love for the people that I love, which are all of you.”

Miley is renowned for opening up to her fans during concerts, and she broke down in tears during her performance of ‘Wrecking Ball’ at the Super Bowl LV TikTok Tailgate event earlier this year.

Miley recently made news for reaching out to a celebrity who has received a lot of hate.

During the performance, the pop megastar had to take a break before finishing the 2013 hit.

‘Don’t you ever think, I just walked away, I will always want you,’ Miley sung, her voice cracking.

She tried to pick up the chorus with ‘I came in…’ before explaining why she was having trouble performing the song.
